Vetel Diagnostics is a veterinary imaging technology company serving veterinary hospitals and animal care professionals across the country. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, customer-focused team member to join our San Luis Obispo office full-time.
This is a great opportunity for someone with veterinary experience who enjoys working with people, solving problems, supporting customers, and participating in sales and customer outreach activities. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, comfortable with technology, willing to learn, and excited to grow into a long-term role with our company.
About the role
This position is a combination of customer support, sales support, office operations, and customer success. You will help keep our customers supported, our internal team organized, and our sales and service processes moving forward.
You should be comfortable communicating with veterinary practices, following up with customers, making outbound calls, helping coordinate support, and learning how to demonstrate our products and services through online web demos.
As a small, growing company, we are looking for someone who is flexible, proactive, and willing to help wherever needed.
Responsibilities
- Answering phones and assisting veterinary customers
- Making outbound calls to customers and prospective customers
- Helping schedule and coordinate technical support appointments
- Assisting with customer follow-up related to orders, quotes, service cases, demos, and product information
- Participating in web-based product demonstrations for customers
- Supporting sales activities, lead follow-up, and customer outreach
- Creating sales quotes, invoices, RMAs, and shipping labels
- Assisting with shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment
- Managing customer records and performing accurate data entry
- Using and updating CRM and internal business systems
- Communicating with vendors regarding orders and follow-up
- Supporting social media, marketing, and customer outreach projects as needed
- Helping with general office operations and team projects

- Comfortable speaking with veterinarians, technicians, hospital managers, and business owners
- Preferred: Experience in a daily small and/or large animal veterinary practice or within the animal care industry

Education requirements
