Key Responsibilities
- Surgical patient induction and monitoring
- Recording of patient vital signs
- Administration of topical, oral hypodermic, and intravenous medication as directed by the supervising veterinarian
- Operation of X-ray equipment and other diagnostic imaging equipment
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including operating ultrasonic dental instruments pursuant to OAR 875-015-0050 (Veterinary Dentistry)
- Perform extractions under the immediate supervision of a licensed veterinarian
- Administer rabies vaccine under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian
- Under direct supervision of a veterinarian, injection or implantation a permanent identification device
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless client and patient experiences
- Provide compassionate support to clients during difficult situations
- Licensed in Oregon or license eligible (licensing fees are reimbursed)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with a heavy procedure case load
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to anticipate patient needs
- Proficient with computers and office equipment; experience with eVet/Pulse is a plus
- Passion for animals and empathy for their owners
