We’re looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our team. As our Kennel Assistant, you’ll be the steady, caring presence our boarding and hospitalized patients count on. From walks and mealtimes to fresh bedding and spotless kennels, you’ll help keep our hospital a clean, safe, and comfortable place for pets and people alike. No previous animal care experience? Why Our Kennel Attendants Love It Here Work hands-on with animals every day in an active role that keeps you moving Join a supportive team of veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff who work together to care for every patient Enjoy a predictable full-time schedule with just one weekend shift per week Build career growth opportunities within the veterinary field, with continuing education to help you get there Serve pets and families across Maui at a full-service hospital that puts compassionate care first What Our Kennel Attendants Do Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets, including feeding, walking, exercise, and monitoring Watch for changes in appetite, behavior, or health and report concerns to the medical team Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and treatment areas Launder bedding, towels, and hospital laundry Assist with bathing and basic grooming services as needed Keep the hospital, boarding facility, and outdoor areas clean and well maintained Stock supplies and help keep inventory organized Deliver friendly, excellent customer service to pet owners Support veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff wherever you’re needed Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.
