General Practice Canine Reproduction Opportunity in Draper, UT
South Mountain Canine Reproduction & Pet Care in Draper, Utah, is looking for an experienced General Practice Veterinarian to help us grow and expand our GP services. While we are currently 100% small animal with ~95% reproduction (primarily canine, <5% feline), and are looking to hire our first GP-focused Veterinarian, while still supporting our loyal repro clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated doctor to step into a practice with a strong foundation and help shape its next chapter while growing and expanding their skills in Reproduction!

- 3 exam rooms (with plans for a 4th by converting the doctor’s office)
- Large treatment area with 2 treatment tables (1 wet table)
- 1 surgical suite with 1 surgery table
- Dedicated semen lab room (with plans to expand and reconfigure for growth)
- Isolation room (unused for years, slated to become additional lab/office space)
- Kennels for day boarding (outside kennels may be removed for expansion)
- Doctor's office space with upcoming remodels for workflow improvements
- Brand new ultrasound
- Dental machine (2023), with plans for dental x-ray if GP expands
- Digital imaging machine
- Transcervical insemination capabilities
- In-house lab: Idexx equipment, Tosoh progesterone machine (2024), Abaxis iStat (2024)
- Progesterone testing in-house for repro clients
- Opportunity to add equipment based on your interests and skills
- Provide general practice medicine and surgery (routine wellness, internal medicine, spay/neuter, mass removals, basic soft tissue, dentals if interested)
- Participate in reproduction cases (~15–20% initially): C-sections, breeding management, timing, semen work
- Limited on-call responsibilities specific to repro (breeding & C-sections only)
- Supported by two dedicated technicians each shift
- Help us develop and grow our GP service line
- DVM/VMD, licensed (or eligible) in Utah
- Experienced Veterinarian
- Skilled in GP medicine and surgery; repro interest is required (mentorship available)
