Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate dog walker/pet sitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs during their walks. Responsibilities
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise
- Care for cats while their owners are away. Feeding, litter box scooping and socialization.
- Monitor the behavior and health of pets during visits, reporting any concerns to pet owners.
- Maintain control over dogs at all times, using proper handling techniques.
- Clean up after dogs during walks, ensuring a tidy environment for all.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's needs and behaviors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
- Be comfortable commuting to Wyckoff and nearby towns
- A reliable car
- Attention to detail and reliability are a must!
- Be able to work independently
- Ability to work outside year-round
- A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners via an app
