What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk position at Vet Partners Pet Retreat?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Receptionist for Brew Park and Pet Retreat, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and pet-friendly atmosphere for guests and their canine companions. Your responsibilities will encompass a blend of customer service, administrative tasks, and cleaning. You will be the first point of contact for both human and canine visitors, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Supervision and Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and provide direction to a team of boarding and daycare attendants, front desk staff, and park rangers.
- Upholding and setting the example in accordance with our mission, vision, and core values
- Overseeing training and development of Daycare and Boarding Attendants, including offering regular feedback throughout the shift
- Report all employee feedback and coaching to PR Manager to be recorded in Paycor
- Cutting staff as determined by business needs
- Responsible for ensuring opening and closing checklists are completed before Front Desk and Attendants clock out.
- Keeping a positive and motivated attitude through your shift
- Regularly communicating with Manager on issues, supply needs, ect
Customer Service:
- Greeting Guests: Welcome guests and their dogs with a friendly and positive attitude. Provide information about the Brew Parks/Pet Retreats policies, amenities, and services offered
- Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process, ensuring all necessary agreements and vaccines are entered accurately. Collect and update information about the dogs, including any special requirements or preferences for Pet Retreat.
- Handle reservations, manage guest information, and maintain records.
- Address any issues or concerns raised by guests in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Aid employees and visitors as needed, such as guiding them to the correct location within the premises and any important information they might need to enhance their visit

9am-8pm Mon-Thursday
9am-9pm Friday
10-9pm Saturday
10-6pm Sunday
- Ensure the Lobby and bathrooms are cleaned regularly and during down time
- Report any unusual behavior or health concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
