As a Content Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and clarity of written content across various platforms both in print and digital.This role sits within the Content Writing team, allowing you to collaborate with copywriters, technical writers, and other editors to maintain copy standards, refine content, and uphold each brand voice. This editor must possess strong editing skills, impeccable grammar, and keen attention to detail.As a Content Editor, factoring the users experience into manuals, app content, recipe books, blogs, paid ads, and website copy is paramount. Your suggestions and edits are critical to the success of the content. With a diverse range of copy and content to oversee, this editor must be able to work effectively and quickly to meet tight deadlines.What you will do at VeSync:Proofread, edit, review, and sometimes write various content according to brand voice and consumer usabilityRewrite and edit Amazon content and microcopyRewrite or restructure marketing and technical content to improve readability and flow, while maintaining the intended meaning and toneStay updated on industry trends, style guides, and best practices in editing and publishingConduct final reviews of content before publication to identify and correct any errorsEnsure adherence to copyright laws and ethical guidelines in all published materialExhibit strong editing skills for print and digital copyExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detailWork closely with the marketing copywriter and technical copywriterCollaborate with the entire creative marketing team to develop concepts and campaigns for our in-house brandsWork on various content: product listings, website copy, emails, blogs, video scripts, user manuals, print materials (e.g., recipe books), packaging, social mediaMaintain attention to details in a fast-paced environment to ensure no grammatical errors are made, or consumer usability is compromisedWhat you bring to the role:Degree in Journalism, Writing, Marketing, Communications, or other related fields2 years experience of relevant experienceStrong command of English language and grammarThorough editing and strong writing skills, yet flexibility to accommodate both creative and technical styles, print and digital platformsProficiency in using editing tools and style guides (e.g., AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style).Ability to thrive in fast and diverse work environment with multiple high priority projectsExperience with consumer goods, electronics, home appliances, apps, and/or smart devices is a plusExposure to technical writing is a plus but not necessaryStrong attention to details is a must!Location:This is an on-site, office-based role in Tustin, CA.Salary:Starting at $28.85 / hourPerks and Benefits:100% covered Medical/Dental/Vision insurance for employee AND spouse dependents!401K with 4% employer match (eligible after 90 days of employment) and immediate 100% vestingGenerous PTO policy paid holidaysLife InsuranceVoluntary Life InsuranceDisability InsuranceCritical Illness CoverageAccident InsuranceHealthcare FSADependent Care FSATravel Assistance ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Fully stocked kitchen
