Who Are We Looking For?

The VUDU squad at Vestwell is a small, nimble group inside a super-cool fin-tech startup. VUDU stands for Vestwell Universal Data Utility and we help everyone in the company, and our clients, on their journey to use data smarter, and to get to insights faster. Think of us as a mix of the Ghostbusters and ConEdison. We love data, we love BI, we love challenges. We run a state-of-the-art data stack built using Snowflake, DBT, HighTouch, and SIgma, to name the core areas of our ETL reporting platform. And, we are actively developing AI solutions into our product offerings.

We are the BI side of Product, we develop solutions that are intended to be self-service for our audiences, while maintaining full row- and column-level governance, so data is only seen by the teams with authorized access. We create daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports for our clients to support each platform Vestwell manages. We handle data from multiple sources and integrate the data streams to deliver a holistic view of the programs that Vestwell offers. Using state of the art applications, we implement and maintain re-usable logic and automation, which can be adapted to any client’s particular needs within a quick turnaround time.

VUDU squad is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team. You’re a great fit for this role if you feel held back by spreadsheets and vlookups, and are yearning to unleash your passion for numbers and accuracy with a team of Product professionals who are best in class. You must be passionate about utilizing data to make an impact in the refinement, evolution, and execution of our products. We have engaged clients who are hungry for information.

What Will You Be Doing?

Product. Reporting products to be more specific. You will be expected to work with senior product leads to breakdown and determine how a reporting solution can be created in the system's current state.You will need to coordinate and manage discussions with internal stakeholders whom you don't necessarily work with on a daily basis. Courteous and cordial communications are a must, since we always need to be respectful of people's time.

Day-to-Day, You May Also Be Expected To:

• Triage inbound requests
• Write JIRA Epics and Stories
• Organize requirements and success criteria for execution
• Design data models and define queries
• Document solutions in Confluence
• Develop data-quality checks
• QC testing
• Generating output manually
• Planning automation and testing

Requirements

The Necessities

• Bachelor’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in computer science, information systems product design, or closely related. 
• 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or closely related. 
• 2 years’ experience in product development in client-driven scenarios.
• 3 years of experience with the following (which may have been gained concurrently): 
• SQL
• Sigma/Tableau
• Jira
• Agile methodology

The expected salary range for this position is $85-95K for New York, $80.75K-90.25K for Austin, and $76.5K-85.5K for Phoenix
