Rotomold Trimmer

Job Summary

Responsible for trimming, finishing, inspecting, and assembling rotationally molded plastic products to meet company quality and production standards. This role uses hand and power tools to remove excess plastic, verify parts meet specifications, and ensure products are prepared for the next stage of production or shipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Trim excess plastic from parting lines on rotational molded parts using handheld routers, grinders, or drills.
• Inspect finished parts for defects such as improper molding, thin spots, or contamination and report issues as needed.
• Record production data including part counts and scrap into logbooks or computer systems.
• Assemble products in accordance with work instructions.
• Select the correct hand tools for job tasks using setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance.
• Read and interpret blueprints to verify parts meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues using blueprints and work instructions when errors occur.
• Operate hoists using chains, slings, clamps, or vacuum suction devices when moving parts.
• Perform assigned work to meet production time standards and quality expectations.
• Maintain weekly performance standards in accordance with company expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to bend, twist, squat repetitively throughout work day
• Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
• See and hear within reasonably acceptable limits, this includes the ability to see at a distance and peripherally
• Basic computer and math skills
• Read a tape measure
• This is a 40 hour per week position and may require mandatory overtime hours
• Must be 18 years of age or older
