About the role
Reporting to our US People Head, you will be responsible for the day to day HR & payroll management of our US population (50 FTE) in accordance with our company's principles and values. This position is based in New York City, Brooklyn.
What you'll do
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Welcome new joiners to ensure a best in class experience & continuously improve our onboarding process
- Support on offboarding procedures, including arranging exit interviews, and collection of all equipment and termination documents
Administrative operations:
- Drive our admin obligations to ensure the best employee experience i.e. draft contracts, amendments, working certificates, work permit requirements for expatriate staff
- Ensure staff actions are compliant with VC policies and procedures, contract requirements, regulations, and local labor law
Payroll:
- Ensure consistent and accurate flow of information so that all payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with requirements
- Interface with employees and respond to inquiries and payroll questions using appropriate channels of communication
Workplace
- Manage our facilities and ensure our workplace (Manhattan & Brooklyn) is a safe and productive environment i.e. ordering supplies, coordinating service and maintenance, organizing safety protocols, IT coordination for technical support and providing general administrative assistance as necessary
- Plan and coordinate celebrations & culture events to drive a highly engaging environment that represents our values
What you bring to the table?
- Apprenticeship and/or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
- 3 to 5 years experience in the field of HR (payroll, administration, legal)
- Autonomous, well-organized, pragmatic and problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills, self-starter, drive and efficiency
- Fluency in English

- Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annual
