Location: Vestal, New York

Payrate: $16/HR

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our Activities Department at Vestal Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. Responsibilities:

• Attend mandatory staff in-services, training programs, departmental staff meetings, and other meetings as assigned by the Director of Recreation

• Decorate units within the facility at holiday times, including hanging wall and ceiling decorations, climbing ladders, setting up displays, and storing seasonal items

• Lead group programs under the guidance of the Recreation Director, including transporting residents, setting up and supervising programs, and clean-up

• Record keeping, including daily participation in group programs, individual program recipients, and volunteer sign-in sheets

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Recreation Director

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent; a college background or special training courses recommended but not required

• Certified Nurse's Aide experience is a plus

• Must be able to:

  • Sit for extended periods of time doing paperwork

  • Work extended hours as needed for the facility

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, climb, lift, and carry heavy objects

  • Work for extended periods of time on the computer
