Role And Responsibilities
The Group ERP Help Desk Specialist is a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing support and continuous improvement of Global Shop Solutions across the Vessco Water family of companies. Serving as a primary point of contact for system users, this role plays a critical part in user support, education and system adoption. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide timely, professional technical support for Global Shop Solutions ERP/CRM software and related business processes.
- Receive, review, and help prioritize GSS Help Desk requests using ConnectWise.
- Monitor system health and performance daily.
- Respond promptly to system security, access, and usability issues.
- Support operational data integrity through regular review, cleanup, and remediation in collaboration with platform companies.
- Maintain and support Group-level customer, vendor, and inventory master data.
- Support and troubleshoot additional enterprise applications and systems as the business grows and new technologies are introduced.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support system success and organizational goals.
- Associate’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience ERP administration.
- General knowledge of ERP\CRM applications and how they work for functional areas
- Excellent communication and coaching skills; including the ability to explain technical material.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and multiple locations.
- Ability to speak both business process and technical process based on the audience.
- A natural instinct for follow-up and follow-through is essential.
- Strong personal drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, users, and time.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with ERP software; Global Shop Solutions experience a plus.
- Experience in an equipment distribution and service industry (job and project based).
