Job Summary -
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team at VESPA Italian Kitchen & Cocktails located at Station Yards in Ronkonkoma. In this role, you will craft exceptional drinks, provide outstanding customer service, and create memorable experiences for our guests.
Duties -
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, offering recommendations and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Accurate order processing, billing, and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and food safety compliance.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and prevent over-serving, while adhering to food safety regulations and alcohol service laws.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, balancing registers at shift end, and performing basic math calculations for sales accuracy.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially in fine dining settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods without compromising quality.
- Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling, tipping calculations, and sales reporting.
