Full-time, W2 contract — 6-month initial term with extensions possible. Fully remote, EST hours. Position based out of Indianapolis.

Job Description – Salesforce Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated Salesforce Developer with at least 4 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable Salesforce solutions in close collaboration with business analysts, architects, administrators, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong configuration-first mindset, using Salesforce’s declarative capabilities wherever possible and applying custom development only when required. This position also requires experience working within a hybrid Agile delivery framework and contributing to DevOps practices that support controlled, repeatable, and efficient releases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions aligned with business and technical requirements/ user stories.
• Configure and customize Salesforce using ( but not limited to) Flows, validation rules, approval processes, assignment and escalation rules, page layouts, record types, permission sets, reports, and dashboards.
• Build and enhance Case Management solutions, including case intake, routing, queues, escalation, entitlements, and service workflows.
• Develop and support Experience Cloud sites, including user access, navigation, branding, page design, and external user experiences.
• Create custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components, triggers, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce APIs as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and estimates.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demonstrations, and retrospectives within a hybrid Agile environment.
• Support testing, defect resolution, user acceptance testing, deployment activities, release validation, and post-production troubleshooting.
• Contribute to DevOps activities including source control, CI/CD pipelines, metadata deployments, and environment management.
• Document technical designs, configuration changes, deployment steps, and support procedures.
• Follow Salesforce coding standards, security best practices, and platform governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of Salesforce development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce PSS, Case Management, Experience Cloud; Salesforce Field Service experience will be preferred. Salesforce PSS and Experience Cloud will be heavily used for this project.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce integrations.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce security, data structures, and declarative configuration.
• Experience working in a hybrid Agile delivery model.
• Experience with source control and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
• Salesforce Certified Service Cloud Consultant
• Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant

Preferred Experience

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Salesforce DevOps Center, Copado, Gearset, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Experience supporting enterprise release management and production operations.
• Experience working in regulated or large-scale environments.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
