Assembler - Manufacturing

A local Asheville manufacturing facility has production and warehouse ops available through the Veryable platform. Operators work W-2 through Ascen Workforce, the employer of record for this program. WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE:

• Ops at this facility cover production assembly, material handling, and warehouse support. Depending on the op you bid on, duties may include:
• Precision assembly of heavy-duty drive axle and gearing components
• Reading and executing work instructions and quality procedures Using measuring instruments including calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers
• Operating powered industrial vehicles including walkie riders, reach trucks, order pickers, and forklifts
• Picking orders with RF scanners, performing cycle counts, and supporting inbound and outbound shipping
• Moving and organizing parts and materials throughout the shop floor
• Supporting production in assembly, housing, and gearing departments
• Lifting 20 to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
• Following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE including steel-toed shoes

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environments
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions
• Basic math including fractions, decimals, and measurement
• PIV certification or ability to certify on site required for material handling ops (walkie rider, reach truck, order picker, forklift)
• RF scanner experience preferred for warehouse ops
• Valid ID and must pass drug screening before beginning ops
• High school diploma or GED
• Smartphone to access the Veryable app (iPhone or Android)
• Steel-toed shoes and appropriate work attire

6. Show up, complete the op, and receive W-2 wages deposited the following Friday

PAY AND EMPLOYMENT:

Operators working ops at this facility are W-2 employees of Ascen Workforce, LLC, the employer of record. Veryable is the technology platform through which ops are posted and filled. The facility directs and supervises work on site. Pay is deposited weekly every Friday. Federal and state taxes are withheld based on your W-4 election. You will receive a W-2 from Ascen Workforce at year end.
