Position Overview:
As a Legal Intake Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our client outreach efforts. Your primary responsibility is to engage with individuals who have suffered injuries and are exploring their legal options. Through a combination of active listening, empathy, and clear communication, you’ll help them understand how our partner law firms can assist. While empathy and emotional intelligence are crucial in this role, you will also need the confidence and energy to “sell” our services. Your goal is to create a positive first impression, instill trust, and help prospective clients take the next step toward securing legal representation.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Outreach & Communication:
- Speak directly with prospective clients over the phone, listening carefully to their stories and gathering essential information about their case.
- Engage with prospective clients through various written communication channels, including live chat, direct messages on social media platforms, and text messages, ensuring empathy, professionalism, and clear guidance at all times.
- Convey compassion, understanding, and professionalism at all times.
Emotional Support & Guidance:
- Recognize that callers may be in pain, experiencing stress, or feeling vulnerable. Respond with warmth, patience, and reassurance.
- Offer clear guidance on next steps and help them feel confident in their decision to seek legal representation.
Qualifying Leads & Intake Management:
- Assess each caller’s case eligibility based on provided criteria.
- Ask targeted questions to confirm key details and ensure that their legal needs align with our partner firms’ areas of expertise.
Persuasive Communication:
- While maintaining empathy and integrity, use your communication skills to emphasize the value and benefits of securing legal representation through our network.
- Confidently “sell” the advantages of working with our partner law firms, keeping the client’s best interests at heart.
Accurate Documentation:
- Input call details, case summaries, and other pertinent information into our intake management system with a high level of accuracy.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Oregon resident: While this position is fully remote / WFH, we are only considering applicants who reside in the state of Oregon.
- Previous Experience: Must have previous experience handling intake for a law firm.
- Remote Work Requirements: Ability to maintain a dedicated, quiet, and distraction-free workspace suitable for extended phone conversations, along with a reliable, high-speed internet connection and strong Wi-Fi signal to ensure clear, uninterrupted communication.
