Very Bespoke Events is hiring event breakdown assistants for a wedding in Havre de Grace, Maryland on Friday, October 9, 2026.
This is a hands-on evening/overnight position assisting our team with the complete breakdown of wedding décor, loading our event truck, and traveling with the team to Frederick, Maryland to unload décor into our warehouse/storage space.
Responsibilities will include carefully breaking down and packing wedding décor, including candle holders and hurricane glass, faux floral arrangements, ceremony arches, reception and sweetheart-table décor, champagne glassware, signage, welcome décor, and our British telephone booth/audio guestbook.
After breakdown, the team will:
- Load all VBE inventory into the event truck in Havre de Grace
- Travel from Havre de Grace to Frederick, MD
- Assist with unloading décor and equipment into the VBE warehouse/storage space
- Organize inventory in designated areas before the shift ends
Approximate schedule:
9:45 PM — Arrive at wedding venue in Havre de Grace
10:00 PM — Breakdown begins
11:00–11:30 PM — Finish loading truck/depart venue
12:30–1:00 AM — Approximate arrival in Frederick
1:00–1:30/2:00 AM — Warehouse unload final inventory placement
Applicants must be comfortable with late-night physical work and travel between Havre de Grace and Frederick.
Reliable transportation is required to the initial event location in Havre de Grace. Transportation from Havre de Grace to Frederick can be coordinated with the VBE team if that's what you're planning; otherwise, I would change that line to say they must have transportation for both locations.
Applicants should be punctual, work efficiently as part of a team, carefully handle fragile inventory, and be able to lift approximately 40–50 lbs with assistance.
Wedding/event experience is helpful but not required. Clear instructions will be provided onsite.
Dependable team members may be offered additional paid event work with Very Bespoke Events throughout Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
