Solutions Architect (Azure & Mobile Modernization) | Grand Rapids, MI | Full-Time
As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with clients to design scalable Azure-based solutions and modernize applications, with a focus on migrating Xamarin apps to .NET MAUI. You'll guide stakeholders across business, architecture, IT, and development teams, acting as a trusted advisor and technical leader throughout modernization initiatives.
What You'll Accomplish:
Client Delivery
  • Lead Azure solution design, aligning with business goals and Microsoft well-architected principles.
  • Guide and support migration from Xamarin to .NET MAUI.
  • Assess existing systems for scalability, performance, and resiliency.
  • Mentor client and internal teams on architecture best practices.
Domain Competency
  • Design end-to-end Azure and full-stack solutions (.NET, C#, modern web frameworks).
  • Apply resilient systems design and disaster recovery principles.
  • Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and containerization.
Business Development & Practice Growth
  • Partner with sales on SOW creation and value articulation.
  • Create architecture documentation and roadmaps.
  • Stay current on Microsoft technologies (Azure, .NET 8, DevOps, Bicep, Docker).
Client & Team Leadership
  • Build trusted client relationships and present complex solutions clearly.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to teams.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proven Azure architecture expertise and strong full-stack development background.
  • Hands-on experience modernizing Xamarin apps to .NET MAUI.
  • 8 years in consulting/architecture with client-facing leadership.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and IaC (ARM, Bicep).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as Azure Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, ITIL, or PMP are a plus.
