Mobile Engineer (React Native) | Remote | Contract
We are seeking a Mobile Engineer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality mobile applications using React Native. You'll lead technical initiatives, collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable mobile applications using React Native.
- Lead technical decisions, architecture, and project workstreams.
- Build and optimize high-performance iOS and Android applications.
- Develop native modules using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java as needed.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, QA, and engineering teams.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote development best practices.
- Create documentation and drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- 5-7 years of professional mobile development experience, including 4 years with React Native and 2 years in a senior/lead role.
- Strong expertise in React Native, including Fabric, JSI, TurboModules, and Hermes.
- Experience with native iOS and Android development.
- Experience with mobile testing tools such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, or Maestro.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
