Position Overview
Vervic is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Weigh Station Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities
As a Weigh Station Operator, you will be responsible for:
Serving as the primary customer service representative at the scale house.- Operating computerized weighing equipment to accurately record vehicle weights and materials.
- Entering and maintaining accurate information within computerized systems.
- Greeting and assisting drivers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Processing payments and providing appropriate receipts and documentation.
- Balancing receipts and transactions at the end of each day.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all required information is properly documented.
- Communicating with drivers, customers, supervisors, and other operational departments as needed.
- Performing routine checks to help ensure equipment and work areas remain safe and operational.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
- Following established safety procedures, policies, and operational guidelines.
- Assisting with additional duties as needed to support daily operations.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.- 1–3 years of customer service, cash-handling, transaction processing, or similar experience required; 5 years preferred.
Comfortable working with computers, computerized systems, and data entry. - Ability to accurately handle payments and balance daily transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Ability to problem-solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
