Job Title: OSP Construction Manager – Data Center & Fiber Infrastructure
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced OSP Construction Manager to lead field execution of fiber infrastructure projects supporting large-scale data center and network deployments. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end outside plant construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of OSP fiber construction (underground, aerial, and pathway builds) supporting data center connectivity
- Oversee site execution, subcontractors, and field crews across multiple active projects
- Coordinate with ISP (Inside Plant), data center teams, and network engineering for seamless integration and handoff
- Drive schedule adherence, resource planning, and crew ramp-up for high-volume deployments
- Ensure compliance with local permitting, ROW regulations, and utility coordination
- Manage splicing, testing (OTDR/IL), and turn-up readiness in coordination with technical teams
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and mitigate risks proactively
- Maintain strong focus on quality control, safety (OSHA), and documentation standards
- Interface with clients, providing status updates, reporting, and issue resolution
- Support as-built documentation, closeout packages, and final acceptance
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in OSP fiber construction management
- Proven experience supporting data center, hyperscale, or high-capacity network environments
- Strong knowledge of fiber construction methods (trenching, boring, aerial, conduit systems)
- Experience with fiber splicing, testing, and network turn-up processes
- Familiarity with permitting, ROW, and utility coordination
- Ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and crews simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with hyperscale data center clients (e.g., colocation or large enterprise builds)
- Understanding of transport networks, long-haul fiber, and backbone infrastructure
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- OSHA 30 certification
