A Senior Materials Engineer is required for a highly technical engineering role focused on advanced materials and additive manufacturing programmes. The Senior Materials Engineer will play a key role in managing technical programmes, supporting material development activities and working with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
The Senior Materials Engineer Role:
- Manage and support government programmes involving additive manufacturing technologies
- Provide technical expertise across materials engineering activities
- Support the development, qualification and application of advanced materials
- Work with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver technical programme objectives
- Analyse material performance and contribute to problem-solving across development projects
- Support project planning, technical documentation and programme delivery activities
Senior Materials Engineer Requirements:
- Experience working as a Senior Materials Engineer, Materials Engineer, Materials Scientist or similar advanced materials role
- Strong background in materials engineering, material development or related technical disciplines
- Experience working with additive manufacturing technologies is highly desirable
- Experience supporting technical programmes, projects or government-funded engineering work
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with engineering teams and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex engineering challenges
