A Sales Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Representative is required to join a growing industrial engineering company, specializing in compressed air, automation, industrial equipment, and engineered solutions across North and South Carolina.

This is a high-potential territory development opportunity offering the autonomy of building a growing compressed air business without having to start from zero. The company's established automation operation already supports approximately 900 existing customer accounts, providing the successful Sales Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Representative with an extensive base of established industrial relationships to develop into compressed air, service, maintenance, parts, and capital equipment opportunities. The Sales Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Representative will have significant ownership over the development of the territory, initially building recurring aftermarket and service revenue while developing longer-term equipment opportunities across manufacturing and process industries.

Package

• $60,000–$100,000 base salary depending on experience
• Commission scheme
• Expected total compensation of approximately $120,000–$140,000

Sales Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Representative Role

• Take commercial ownership of a developing compressed air territory covering North and South Carolina.
• Leverage approximately 900 existing customer accounts to identify new compressed air and aftermarket opportunities.
• Develop recurring revenue through service, maintenance, and parts sales while building longer-term capital equipment opportunities.
• Generate new business while expanding relationships across an established industrial customer base.
• Sell into food & beverage, automotive suppliers, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, plastics, textiles, wood products, paper mills, and wider manufacturing markets.
• Develop long-term relationships with plant managers, engineers, maintenance teams, operations professionals, and other key industrial decision-makers.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and customer meetings through technical discussions, proposals, negotiation, and closing.
• Build and manage a substantial sales pipeline as the company's compressed air presence expands throughout the Carolinas.
• Work closely with the developing local service operation to provide customers with equipment, maintenance, and ongoing aftermarket support.

Sales Account Manager / Technical Sales Engineer / Outside Sales Representative Requirements

• Proven industrial outside sales experience.
• Technical sales experience within an engineered product or industrial environment.
• Industrial CAPEX / process equipment sales experience.
• Proven ability to sell into manufacturing facilities.
• Experience selling service, maintenance, parts, or aftermarket solutions.
• Air compressor or compressed air systems experience would be highly advantageous.
• Candidates with pumps, vacuum, fluid power, industrial equipment, automation, HVAC, or electrical/mechanical systems experience will also be considered.
• Strong combination of new business development and account management experience.
• Commercially driven with the ability to take ownership of a developing territory.
• Ability to independently manage a field-based territory covering North and South Carolina.
• Ideally based within approximately 60 miles of Greenville, South Carolina.
