What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Vertiv?
RRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process work orders.
- Follow work schedules and pull inventory to fill work orders.
- Pull necessary chassis, brackets, etc from the warehouse and provide to production for assembly needs.
- Follow proper steps & guidelines when filling work orders
- Understands that First in First Out inventory method.
- Rotate stock and/or consolidate pallets to remove overflow locations.
- Organize all metal (chassis, brackets, etc) upon receipt.
- Works with receiving, purchasing, and accounting groups to resolve receipt discrepancies based on quantity issues.
- Move in/out stock with in the IQMS system or equivalent on a daily basis.
- Maintain an organized warehouse
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be comfortable working with various computer systems.
- Must have demonstrated good planning, organizational skills and the ability to work logically and systematically with good time management
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize workload and manage incoming requests from various sources.
- Must have strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Must be able to and like to work independently.
- Must be able to solve problems creatively
- Fork lift experience is preferred but not required and training would be provided on the job.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-5 years of material planning or warehouse management preferred
