JOB DESCRIPTION
Training Delivery & Operator Qualification
- Deliver standardized technical training to manufacturing operators across assembly and production lines.
- Clearly explain, demonstrate, and coach associates on processes, procedures, and standard work to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Provide hands-on support during skill acquisition to accelerate learning curves and reduce defects, errors, and rework.
- Validate and document operator proficiency and certification in alignment with approved training standards.
- Develop, update, and maintain technical training content, including classroom materials, hands-on exercises, and visual work instructions.
- Apply adult learning theory, blended learning, and microlearning approaches to improve retention and on-the-job performance.
- Analyze training data, production performance indicators, audit findings, and trainee feedback to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on training effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records within the Learning Management System to support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive increased training compliance across safety, quality, and regulatory domains.
- Ensure training documentation supports internal audits, external audits, and operational readiness.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts to ensure training accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current manufacturing practices.
- Support onboarding, coaching, and development of new Trainers when applicable.
- Promote training programs internally by clearly communicating purpose, value, and expectations.
- Foster a team-oriented learning culture that supports accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Support development and execution of quarterly and annual training plans aligned to operational demand.
- Drive measurable improvements in:
- Time-to-competence for new hires
- Training compliance rates
- Operator proficiency validation outcomes
- Reduction in training-related quality or safety issues
- Operate on a flex schedule in order to support multiple shift structures across different training environments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of operational and business needs.
Required
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical operations environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering hands-on technical training to production associates.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and guide others without direct reporting authority.
- Experience with electrical, thermal, mechanical, or data center manufacturing systems.
- Background in Learning & Development, instructional design, or adult learning methodologies.
- Formal certifications such as Train-the-Trainer, OSHA, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
- Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on workforce development initiatives.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout manufacturing areas for extended periods.
- Ability to provide hands-on training involving tools, equipment, or machinery.
- Occasional lifting of materials up to defined safety limits.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments including noise, temperature variations, and moving equipment.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
