POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure the safety of warehouse staff and promote a culture of safety throughout the warehouse.
- Oversee the receiving, storing, and shipping of products, including inventory management and accuracy.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
- Work with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and warehouse operations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the warehouse budget and make recommendations for cost savings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Desired master’s degree.
- 8 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping and receiving procedures. Experience managing and supervising staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management software.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements for warehouse operations.
