JOB DESCRIPTION
The Sr. Project Manager - Power Software & Controls is required to lead and oversee a team of project managers within the Software Development Department of our global engineering organization. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary software projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
The Sr. Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, quality assurance specialists, product managers, and stakeholders, to define project requirements, establish timelines, allocate resources, and manage risks. They serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment on priorities, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Reporting to the Projects Delivery Director.

Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of project managers, fostering professional growth and ensuring high performance.
- Allocate resources effectively and optimize team productivity across multiple projects.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Act as a primary escalation point for resolving project risks and challenges.
- Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Align project objectives with business priorities and organizational goals, ensuring consistency with the broader strategic vision.
- Collaborate with leadership to define project roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
- Manage client expectations and deliverables for global engineering projects with software development components.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management team to enhance efficiency, consistency, and project delivery outcomes.
- Establish and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across multiple projects, ensuring the timely resolution of issues to maintain project momentum.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 8 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably in a software development environment.
- Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and other methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically while managing details tactically.
- Experience in managing budgets, resource allocation, and global project portfolios.
