Brief Job Description:
Material Buyer: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Material Buyer to manage and optimize the procurement of materials essential for our production processes in Nove Mesto, Slovakia. In this role, you will plan and oversee material flow to ensure timely and accurate supplies, support production needs, and maintain cost-effective inventory control. Your attention to detail and strategic planning will be critical in ensuring smooth operations and achieving organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

- Plan and purchase supplies for assigned commodities, ensuring cost control and compliance with company rules.
- Procure materials, components, and services according to production plans.
- Collaborate on daily/weekly production planning and provide input for monthly MPS.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and ensure smooth material flow through ongoing communication.
- Address potential supply risks, monitor stock operations, and implement emergency plans for critical short-term issues.
- Prepare monthly forecasts, monitor deviations, and propose preventive measures.
- Negotiate with local suppliers to improve service levels, reduce costs, and optimize the supply chain.
- Foster proactive collaboration with internal customers and suppliers.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- High School education
- At least 2 years of experience with purchasing, logistics
- Knowledge of purchasing methods and instructions is highly desirable
- Knowledge of MRP system
- Previous experience with SAP is a plus
- fluent English language
- other foreign language is a plus
- MS Office Professional (Outlook, Excel, Word)
