Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and conduct funeral ceremonies according to family preferences
• Provide assistance to families in selecting services and merchandise
• Coordinate transportation and other logistical aspects of funeral services
• Prepare and embalm the deceased as required by state regulations
• Maintain thorough documentation and adherence to legal requirements
• Support families before, during, and after the funeral with empathy
• Lead staff training and mentor junior team members
  
  

Requirements

• Valid Funeral Director License in the applicable state
• Degree in mortuary science
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Empathetic approach with a passion for serving others
• Familiarity with the funeral industry and regulations
