Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Helke Funeral and Cremation Services, and Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral Home proudly serve the Wausau and Merrill, WI communities and surrounding areas. We are seeking two compassionate and motivated Funeral Director Apprentices to join our team.
As a Funeral Director Apprentice, you will support both funeral arrangement and embalming services while upholding our mission of honoring lives and supporting families with care and professionalism. You will work closely with licensed funeral directors to create personalized, meaningful experiences that celebrate each life and meet the unique needs of every family.

What You Will Do
- Assist licensed funeral directors with funeral arrangements and services
- Participate in removals and transfers from the place of death
- Interact with families compassionately during times of need
- Assist in the preparation room under the guidance of licensed staff
- Learn essential skills and gain hands-on experience serving your community
Experience you need to bring:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a Wisconsin Funeral Director Apprentice License
- Proficient within technology
- Clean driving record
- Strong people skills and customer service skills
