Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elevator Maintenance Mechanic, located in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role involves performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and modernizing elevator systems, dumbwaiters, and lifts. The Elevator Maintenance Mechanic will ensure the operational reliability and safety of equipment, conduct corrective and preventive maintenance, and adhere to all safety protocols and established standards while working on hydraulic and traction elevator systems. Collaborating with the team, the mechanic will provide technical expertise and exceptional service to support customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to work with diverse elevator systems
- Strong understanding of Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance practices
- Knowledge of Industrial Maintenance processes and troubleshooting methods
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards and protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant technical certifications or completed apprenticeship programs in elevator or mechanical maintenance
- Prior experience in elevator maintenance, installation, modernization, or similar fields preferred
- Flexibility to work in varied environments across the New York City Metropolitan Area
