Duties
- Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans targeting athletic programs and initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Manage donor databases using CRM software such as Raiser's Edge to track engagement and contributions.
- Prepare compelling grant proposals and funding requests to secure grants and sponsorships.
- Conduct research on potential funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
- Coordinate marketing efforts to promote athletic fundraising campaigns through various channels.
- Organize events, outreach activities, and public relations initiatives to increase visibility and support for athletic programs.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to donors and community stakeholders to foster long-term relationships.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or development roles, preferably within athletics or community programs.
- Strong knowledge of databases, CRM software (such as Raiser's Edge), and marketing tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
- Experience in grant proposal writing, research, and strategic planning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated relationship management skills with a focus on customer service and public relations.
- Familiarity with fundraising best practices, donor engagement strategies, and research methodologies.
- A proactive attitude with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
