This role is responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, welding, maintenance, and inspection of sheet metal systems. Working under the direction of a Foreman, the Sheet Metal Mechanic will play a key role in delivering high-quality work safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate, install, repair, and maintain sheet metal systems.Perform welding, cutting, and inspections in line with safety and quality standards.Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment required for the trade.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Collaborate with the Foreman and crew to meet project timelines.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Qualifications2 years of sheet metal experience (fabrication, repairs, and inspections).Knowledge of welding materials, refrigeration systems, and basic electrical components.Proficient in the use of hand tools, measuring devices, and small electric tools.Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.Willingness to travel to various worksites across the DMV region.What We OfferCompetitive base salary.Performance-based bonus opportunities.Comprehensive medical, dental, and financial benefits.Paid Time Off (PTO) and 401(k) retirement plan.Career growth opportunities in a supportive, team-oriented environment.Learn MoreExplore our projects and company culture at vmgmech.com.
