The General Superintendent will provide leadership to project superintendents, foremen, and field teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

What You'll Do
- Provide leadership and direction for field operations across commercial HVAC and plumbing projects
- Oversee mechanical and plumbing installations to ensure safety, quality, and schedule performance
- Coordinate manpower planning, subcontractors, and material delivery to maintain project efficiency
- Support and mentor superintendents, foremen, and field crews
- Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Manage jobsite communication including RFIs, change orders, schedule updates, and punch lists
- Work closely with Project Executives and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery
- Identify and resolve field challenges proactively to keep projects moving forward
- Promote and enforce VMG's strong safety culture and jobsite standards
- Support collaboration between field teams, project management, and trade partners
- 7–10 years of experience in commercial mechanical or plumbing construction
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent on large commercial projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems including hydronic, VRF, ductwork, and mechanical equipment installation
- Ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of construction drawings, installation practices, and field coordination
- Mechanical or Plumbing Master License preferred
- Experience with construction management tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is a plus
- Ability to travel to projects throughout the DMV region
- Strong pipeline of large commercial mechanical projects
