Senior Tax Accountant
Our client is a reputable Top 150 CPA firm located in Orange County. They are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare various tax returns including federal and state corporate, individual, gift and estate, trust and partnership returns.
- Interact with clients to ensure satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
- Work closely with other Staff, Managers and Partners, on client management and professional development.
- Apply basic knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies
- Prepare financial statements with disclosures
- Develop self-learning and problem solving skills
- Involvement in marketing events/community service projects as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or required.
- Masters in Taxation degree a plus.
- CPA or on track to CPA preferred.
- 3 years prior public accounting experience in taxation preferred
- Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research.
- Ability to problem-solve and think both creatively and logically.
- A demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
