Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Onsite/Hybrid (as applicable)
Reports To: VP of Finance & Accounting
Compensation: Up to $125,000 DOE
Position Summary
Our Client is seeking a Financial Analyst tor Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. This role will support financial planning and analysis activities, operational reporting, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate possesses strong financial modeling skills, advanced Excel expertise, and experience working with large, complex datasets. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Executive Leadership to provide meaningful insights that drive business performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, pricing, profitability, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze large volumes of financial, operational, inventory, purchasing, and sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate operational performance and recommend actionable improvements.
- Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year results.
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes.
- Analyze customer, product, vendor, and business segment profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insight into business drivers.
- Assist in inventory analysis, inventory turns, product margin analysis, and working capital management.
- Support pricing strategies through financial analysis and modeling.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data integrity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close activities and financial statement review.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and executive requests.
Qualifications
Financial Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 3 years of financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or related experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables
- XLOOKUP
- INDEX/MATCH
- Power Query
- Advanced formulas and data manipulation
- Financial modeling
- Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.
Senior Financial Analyst
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Advanced financial modeling and business analysis experience.
- Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
- Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and operational stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within healthcare distribution, medical supplies, manufacturing, logistics, wholesale distribution, or related industries.
- Experience analyzing inventory, supply chain, procurement, and distribution operations.
- ERP system experience such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.
- MBA, CMA, or CPA designation is a plus.
