Vertical Aviation International (VAI) is seeking a Membership Manager to lead membership growth, retention, and engagement while ensuring an outstanding member experience. This role oversees membership operations, drives process improvements, and is accountable for achieving membership and revenue goals. The Manager will be a key partner in advancing VAI’s membership strategy and optimizing the member lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Operations & Strategy
- Execute membership strategies and recommend continuous improvements.
- Lead processes for acquisition, onboarding, renewal, reinstatement, and retention.
- Identify and convert new member opportunities aligned with growth goals.
- Oversee day-to-day membership operations for accuracy and efficiency.
- Member Experience & Service
- Ensure high-quality, timely support for current and prospective members across channels.
- Establish and maintain service standards that drive responsiveness and satisfaction.
- Address escalated member issues and ensure effective resolution and follow-up.
- Support member-facing activities tied to key initiatives, including the annual conference.
- Data & Systems Management
- Serve as the lead resource for membership data and AMS-related processes (Nimble preferred).
- Oversee data integrity efforts, including audits, data governance, and quality control.
- Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure the member portal delivers a seamless, effective user experience.
- Communications & Engagement
- Partner on member communication strategies that support engagement, retention, and value realization.
- Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of membership-related content across platforms.
- Drive participation in programs, events, and member benefits.
- Other
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in membership, associations, or customer-focused roles.
- Proven experience with membership growth, retention, and engagement strategies.
- Proficiency with an AMS (Nimble preferred) and data/reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and member service skills
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and support events.
Work Environment and Travel
- Hybrid work environment; in-office once per week or as needed based.
- Ability to travel to trade shows.
