Role Description
We're executing an ambitious 3-year SEO and content strategy to become the #1 organic commercial security company in NYC and Long Island — and we need the right person to help us get there.
As our SEO Content Operations Manager, you'll own the day-to-day execution of this plan: researching and writing high-converting service pages, building out our Knowledge Center, managing content sprints, and tracking performance across both our brands — Vertex Security and Mr. Locks NYC.
This is a remote, full-time role. You'll work closely with our marketing manager and leadership team, operating within Eastern Time Zone hours.
What You'll Do
- Research, write, and publish SEO-optimized service pages across multiple locations, service lines, and industries
- Execute content sprints targeting commercial-intent and informational keywords
- Build and manage our Knowledge Center content for both brands (guides, comparisons, cost articles, FAQs)
- Perform on-page SEO: meta titles, descriptions, internal linking, schema, and image optimization
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and content performance using Ahrefs and Google Search Console
- Coordinate with our WordPress developer/designer to ensure pages are published correctly
- Maintain a content calendar and sprint tracker to keep production on schedule
- Identify content gaps and new page opportunities through competitor analysis and keyword research
Qualifications
- 3 years of SEO content experience, ideally in a local services, B2B, or home services vertical
- Proven ability to write clear, conversion-focused copy — not just blog posts, but service pages that rank and convert
- Hands-on experience with Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and WordPress
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO fundamentals and content architecture
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and hit sprint deadlines
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely
- Bonus: experience with programmatic SEO, local SEO, or multi-location content strategy
