Mover Helper - Experienced Furniture Mover

Location: Bronx, NY — in person
Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, morning shifts

An established NYC moving and storage company is hiring an experienced Mover Helper to support residential and commercial moves.

We are looking for someone who knows how to handle furniture carefully, enjoys helping customers, and brings a positive attitude to the crew. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and pride in your work are essential.

This is a hands-on moving position—not primarily an order-picking, cleaning, or general warehouse role. Previous professional moving or furniture-delivery experience is required.

What you’ll do

• Wrap and protect furniture using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and appropriate packing materials.
• Pack and handle boxes, fragile belongings, and other items carefully.
• Load and unload moving trucks, helping secure items for transportation.
• Carry and maneuver furniture through stairs, hallways, and doorways with team assistance.
• Use dollies, hand trucks, and other moving equipment safely.
• Protect customers’ floors, walls, doorways, and belongings.
• Follow crew-lead instructions and place items where customers request.
• Communicate courteously with customers and represent the team professionally.
• Report visible damage or handling concerns promptly.
• Keep moving equipment and supplies organized.
  

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on professional moving or furniture-delivery experience, including wrapping furniture and loading/unloading.
• Ability to perform the essential physical duties, including frequent lifting and carrying, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to arrive on time for morning shifts in the Bronx.
• An upbeat, respectful attitude and willingness to work closely with a crew.
• Attention to detail and care when handling customers’ property.
• Interest in steady, long-term employment and developing your skills within the company.
  

White-glove moving experience and experience handling delicate or high-value furniture are a plus.
