Key Responsibilities
- Perform, inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA regulations and Military Technical Orders
- Monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to team members
- Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, logbooks, and work orders
- Maintain compliance with FAA, company, and safety policies
- Coordinate with management, QA, and parts departments as needed
- Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment
- Assist in aircraft deliveries to ensure on-time departure and serves as the maintenance point of contact, communicating aircraft status, delays, and needs to the Leads and Management
Required Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certification or ability to obtain within 4 months of onboarding
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline and/or MRO company
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
- High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C-130, King Air, Cessna 208, turboprop, jet, GA, Part 145.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus
- Experience in a fast-paced or maintenance/modification environment
Physical Requirements And Environmental Conditions
- May work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
- May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, including extreme weather conditions.
- May be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles; may be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, or aircraft.
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
- May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to see aircraft in flight, read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
- Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
- May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
