Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Director of AI & Analytics to lead our RiskMatch, Data Delivery, and Data Science teams. This role is pivotal in driving Vertafore’s AI-first strategy, enhancing data-driven decision-making, and delivering scalable analytics solutions across our product ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to shape and execute our AI and analytics roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the AI & analytics strategy aligned with Vertafore’s technology vision and business goals
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate AI into core platforms, including AMS360, AgencyOne, and RiskMatch
- Team Management
- Direct and mentor high-performing teams across RiskMatch, Data Delivery, and Data Science, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Architecture leaders to ensure alignment and delivery excellence
- AI & Analytics Execution
- Oversee development and deployment of AI models, including predictive analytics, NLP, and ML pipelines.
- Drive adoption of AI tools and training across the CTO org, including GitHub Copilot and AWS certifications
- Data Strategy & Governance
- Champion data quality, governance, and accessibility across systems to support enterprise-wide analytics
- Ensure seamless integration of data across platforms for unified customer views and operational insights
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Lead POCs and pilot programs such as Agentic AI and Direct Bill Reconciliation
- Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and technologies, evaluating their applicability to Vertafore’s ecosystem.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) or equivalent practical experience

Proven experience leading AI, analytics, or data science teams in a SaaS or enterprise technology environment.

Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), data engineering, and machine learning frameworks.

Strong track record of delivering scalable AI solutions and driving cross-functional alignment.

Are very strong in both design, architecture and implementation at an enterprise level

Experience with Scaled Agile software development

Have experience with Test Driven Development

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with insurance technology or financial services is a plus.
