Your Role
The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:

The Warehouse Operator 1 at MilliporeSigma's Allentown, PA site will support the shipment of customer orders following procedures and guidelines for selecting, checking, packing and unpacking inbound and outbound shipments. Responsibilities include the following:
- Check chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size, and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
- Accurately pull and stage materials from storage locations, ensuring order accuracy and stockroom organization
- Package materials and apply all required labeling in strict accordance with established procedures and hazardous materials regulations
- Stage finished boxes to be metered and shipped and distribute completed orders to the appropriate area of the facility
- Use proper equipment for appropriate order (size of order, weight, etc.,)
- Unload inbound trucks and unpack shipments, distributing materials to designated storage locations
- Store and organize unpacked items and packing material in appropriate areas of warehouse and perform shelf maintenance in stock areas
- Pick up trash and debris in work station and stock areas
- Hours: Monday-Friday. Core shift hours are typically 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with flexibility in start and end times (up to a one-hour variance). Eligible for overtime. Occasional weekend hours may be necessary
- Stand, walk and move between areas for the duration of shift
**Who You Are :**
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
- Experience with pallet jack operation, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines and various cutting instruments)
- Experience with PC and printer operation
