Our client, located in Whitestown, IN., is a growing logistics company looking to add a Turret Truck Operator to their work family! The primary responsibility of this person would be to pick all orders in a safe, accurate, and methodical manner within warehouse and narrow aisles. You will put away products, relocate pallets, manage inventory and inspect/track orders to support both inbound and outbound operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate and inspect Turret on a daily basis and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
- Pick all orders in an efficient and detailed manner as deliveries come in and out of the warehouse.
- Verify product description, case count, pallet & lot #’s and location of product during order picking. Make location correction by relocation if needed.
- Relocate & consolidate pallets within warehouse and down narrow isles as needed and/or stack on shelves of warehouse safely without damaging product.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years’ experience in warehouse operating turret truck in narrow isles
- Must be able to provide turret forklift certification
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Must also be able to pass QT-9 safety test and pass a turret truck test on first day of job.
- Must have visual acuity to operate machinery and/or heavy equipment.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject the following work environment:
- The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- The employee is required to work on a dock.
- The employee is subject to extreme cold: temperatures typically between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally may be exposed to temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit.
- The employee is subject to hazards including moving pallets; material and/or equipment handling.
- No earbuds or cell phones allowed while working.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (7AM – 3:30PM) OR (4PM – 12:30AM) with occasional OT throughout the week and on weekends. 1st and 2nd Shift available.
Pay Rate: $19-19.50/hr.
Location: Whitestown, IN.
