Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Key Job Duties
- Ensure food safety and product integrity by following all standards, food safety policies, and procedures.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and facility conditions before startup; conduct GMP and sanitation audits, including microbiological and chemical sampling.
- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, packaging, labels, and finished products, including visual, sensory, net contents, and code accuracy checks.
- Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming products; place materials on hold, perform corrective actions, and assist with held material inspections and inventory.
- Coach site personnel on GMPs, product specifications, sanitation standards, and complete additional duties or projects as assigned by management.
Schedule
- 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:45 PM–6:00 AM
- Saturdays as needed
- Flexibility to work alternate shifts occasionally due to production or staffing needs
Pay
- 3rd shift - $19 an hour
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control in food manufacturing
- Knowledge of food production or food packaging environments
- Basic computer skills
- Basic tablet skills
- Effective verbal, listening, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work off-shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Self-directed and able to manage time and tasks independently
- Previous third-shift experience required
- Preferred: Bilingual English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to do the following continuously for 8 hours a day:
- Stand, bend, climb, twist (neck and waist)
- Perform repetitive hand movements (power grasping)
- Push, pull, and reach above/below shoulder level
