Position Summary:
The Senior Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment for assigned corporate, professional, specialized, and leadership support roles. This position serves as a recruiting partner to hiring managers and business leaders by developing sourcing strategies, advising on talent market conditions, identifying and engaging qualified candidates, supporting selection and offer processes, and maintaining a consistent, positive candidate experience. The Senior Recruiter supports talent acquisition to improve recruiting processes, supports talent pipeline development, and ensures compliant, timely, and effective hiring practices across the organization.
Essential Functions:
1. Lead Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage recruitment for assigned roles from intake through offer acceptance, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communication, selection support, and hiring documentation.
2. Serve as a Hiring Partner: Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand workforce needs, define role requirements, clarify hiring priorities, and provide guidance on recruiting strategy, candidate availability, and market conditions.
3. Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create and execute proactive sourcing plans using job boards, social media, professional networks, referrals, direct outreach, recruiting events, and other tools to identify active and passive candidates.
4. Build and Maintain Talent Pipelines: Develop ongoing pipelines for hard-to-fill, high-volume, specialized, and future hiring needs while maintaining professional relationships with prospective candidates.
5. Screen and Assess Candidates: Conduct phone screens and interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, compensation expectations, availability, and alignment with role, team, and company requirements.
6. Coordinate and Support Selection Process: Schedule interviews, prepare candidates and interview teams, collect feedback, support timely hiring decisions, and help ensure a consistent and effective selection process.
7. Support Offer Strategy and Pre-Employment Process: Partner with HR and hiring leaders to prepare offer recommendations, support compensation discussions, extend offers as appropriate, assist with negotiations, and facilitate pre-employment steps and handoff to onboarding.
8. Maintain ATS Accuracy and Compliance: Ensure candidate records, requisition updates, interview notes, disposition reasons, and hiring documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant within the applicant tracking system.
9. Track Recruiting Metrics and Recommend Improvements: Monitor recruiting activity, pipeline health, candidate flow, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and other key metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide updates to manager.
10. Support Employer Brand and Candidate Experience: Represent the organization professionally in all candidate interactions, recruiting events, networking opportunities, community partnerships, and school partnerships while promoting a positive and consistent employer brand.
11. Provide Recruiting Guidance: Share recruiting best practices, interview guidance, process recommendations, and candidate experience insights with hiring managers and recruiting team members as needed.
Job Specifications:
1. High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience; corporate recruiting experience preferred.
3. Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment for professional, corporate, specialized, high-volume, or leadership support roles.
4. Strong sourcing experience with the ability to identify, engage, and build relationships with active and passive candidates.
5. Experience partnering with hiring managers and business leaders to advise on hiring needs, candidate qualifications, market conditions, and recruiting strategy.
6. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems; UKG experience preferred.
7. Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices, candidate sourcing methods, interview coordination, offer support, and compliant hiring processes.
8. Excellent communication, interpersonal, follow-up, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
9. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and recruiting metrics simultaneously.
10. Demonstrated ability to use workplace technology, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, influence stakeholders, and provide a high level of professionalism with candidates and internal partners.
12. Able to travel to company locations, career fairs, or recruiting events as required.
