Full Job Description
Sales associates are responsible for sales generation, effective customer service, shrinkage, cash wrap service, merchandising and administration. All activities must be in strict compliance with all Cato Corporation policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Skills, Experience and Training Required:
- Minimum age: 18 yrs old
- One- year minimum retail or cashiering experience(or solid references)
- Successful completion of the Cato Corporation Sales Associate training program.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Ability to process information/merchandise through the Register and ISP system.
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
- Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area and cash wrap.
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a store.
- Ability to lift and move or transfer merchandise through the store generally weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business indicates. Must be available nights and weekends.
