Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Engineer located in San Diego, CA. We are seeking a highly capable Manufacturing Engineer to lead the buildout, characterization, and process development of a hybrid laser manufacturing cell.
You will operate at the intersection of process development, precision manufacturing, and medical device performance engineering, with direct impact on the company’s ability to support early-stage and production customer programs.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
3–7 years in precision manufacturing, medical device, laser processing, or advanced machining
Hands-on experience with at least one of:
- laser micromachining systems
- precision tube processing or hypotube manufacturing
- Nitinol or medical-grade metals processing
- Strong understanding of process development, not just machine operation
- Ability to work in fast-iteration environments
