Ecommerce Analyst

Versare
Minneapolis, MN Full Time
POSTED ON 6/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/5/2026

Company Overview

Versare is a Minneapolis-based specialty manufacturer with approximately $40 million in annual revenue. The company's core business is B2B, and its eCommerce channel is an active growth priority. With a lean organization and a culture that rewards ownership and initiative, this is an environment where your work shows up directly in business results, not buried in a committee process. If you want genuine visibility and a clear line between what you do and what the company achieves, this is the right size company for that.

Position Summary

The eCommerce Analyst is a hands-on operator responsible for the day-to-day performance of Versare's Commerce storefronts. Reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce, Amazon, and Marketplaces, this person owns the execution layer of the digital channel: product catalog management, pricing and promotional updates, landing page builds, performance reporting, and site quality for B2C Versare.com and Everblocksystems.com and B2B ScreenFlex.com and VersareFlooring.com. A third-party Commerce (formerly BigCommerce) services partner handles all technical development work; the Analyst serves as the internal business-side point of contact for that team — translating business requirements into clear project briefs, reviewing completed work, and keeping deliverables on schedule. Success in year one means a cleaner, better-performing site with measurable improvements in conversion and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Platform and Catalog Operations

•      Manages product catalog entries in Commerce, including new item setup, attribute population, category assignments, and ongoing content accuracy audits

•      Executes pricing updates and promotional configurations within the platform, ensuring accuracy and proper scheduling across active campaigns

•      Builds and maintains landing pages using Commerce's native page-building tools, updating copy, imagery, and layout as directed by the Director

•      Identifies and flags site issues, content gaps, broken product data, or UX friction points, and routes them to the appropriate resource for resolution

•      Maintains site hygiene by conducting routine quality checks on product pages, navigation, and checkout flows

Performance Tracking and Reporting

•      Monitors key site performance metrics — including traffic, conversion rate, bounce rate, and revenue by category — using Google Analytics 4 and platform-native reporting

•      Produces regular performance reports for the Director, summarizing trends, flagging anomalies, and providing context for observed changes

•      Supports A/B testing and conversion rate optimization efforts as directed, documenting test setups, results, and learnings

Vendor Coordination

•      Serves as the internal point of contact for the third-party Commerce services partner and a range of technology vendors, communicating business requirements clearly and in writing, reviewing delivered work against specifications, and tracking open project items to completion

•      Supports creation and execution of product roadmap in partnership with Director

•      Maintains a running log of enhancement requests and bug reports, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in the vendor relationship

Cross-Functional Collaboration

•      Partners with internal colleagues in sales, marketing, and operations to support eCommerce execution for specific end markets or customer segments — translating their needs into actionable site updates

•      Coordinates content, product, and promotional information across departments to ensure the site reflects current product availability, pricing, and positioning

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

•      1–3 years of professional experience in B2B and/or B2C eCommerce operations, digital merchandising, or a closely related function

•      Hands-on experience working within an enterprise or mid-market eCommerce platform; Commerce experience is preferred, though candidates with meaningful Shopify or comparable platform experience will be considered

•      Working proficiency with Google Analytics or GA4, including the ability to pull standard reports, interpret traffic and conversion data, and build or modify basic dashboards

•      Demonstrated ability to manage product data, pricing, and content accurately at scale — errors in this work have direct business consequences, and attention to detail is non-negotiable

•      Clear written communication skills, with the ability to convey business requirements to an external technical team and to summarize performance data for a non-technical internal audience

•      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management, reporting, and basic analysis tasks

•      Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates the same capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

•      Direct, hands-on experience with Commerce specifically (administrative access, catalog management, page builder)

•      Prior exposure to B2B eCommerce workflows, including experience with account-based pricing, dealer/distributor portals, or B2B buyer personas

•      Familiarity with foundational SEO principles as applied to product page titles, meta descriptions, and URL structure

•      Experience using project management or ticketing tools — Asana, Jira, Wrike, or similar — to coordinate work with external vendors and/or internal teams

•      Exposure to conversion rate optimization (CRO) concepts and a basic understanding of A/B testing methodology, even if in a supporting role

•      Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools for support on research, efficiency, analytics and more
