Who You Are:

The Facilities Site Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations across the Dulles Corporate Hangar Complex. You take ownership of maintenance quality, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with all operational standards. You are a hands-on manager capable of performing maintenance tasks when needed, while also supervising staff, coordinating vendors, managing records, and ensuring the facility meets the highest standards of safety and appearance.

What You’ll Do:

Maintenance Oversight

  • Oversee and perform maintenance duties including snow removal, debris removal, landscaping, and housekeeping.
  • Perform inspections on pump house equipment, including pump tests, battery tests, and fire extinguishers.
  • Repair and maintain equipment such as HVAC units; blowers, trimmers, and mowers; salt spreaders; and sweepers.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure landscaping and maintenance services meet contract requirements and quality standards.
  • Monitor the pump house and initiate preventive maintenance steps.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions, inspections, and repairs.
  • Handle billing and invoicing for services provided at the facility.
  • Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; order replacements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and airport policies.

Staff Management

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff.
  • Schedule shifts and allocate resources to support operational coverage.
  • Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

Customer & Vendor Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customers, tenants, and vendors.
  • Address customer needs and complaints to ensure exceptional service.
  • Oversee vendor performance, escort vendors, and ensure they meet expectations.
  • Negotiate vendor service agreements and monitor fulfillment.

Financial Management

  • Monitor expenditures and enforce cost-control measures.

Emergency Response Coordination

  • Lead emergency response efforts during events such as snowstorms or operational disruptions.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and airport security policies.

What You’ll Bring:

5–10 years of facility management or building maintenance experience.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and personnel management skills.
  • Experience with equipment maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and general cleaning.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. repeatedly (30–40 times in a row).
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to obtain MWAA Airport Access Badge prior to starting work. 
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain an active and valid driver's license without restrictions.
  • Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Compensation 

Expected Hourly Rate: $34-$39 per hour

Versar Global Solutions is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the Company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.

Location Requirements

The position will be primarily working on-site at Dulles International Airport’s Corporate Hangar Complex.
