The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a hands-on, essential role responsible for sustaining the operational condition, appearance, and safety of the Dulles Corporate Hangar Complex. You take pride in maintaining clean, well-kept grounds and paved areas, supporting equipment upkeep, and ensuring the facility remains in top condition year-round.

Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
Expected Hourly Rate: $25-$28 per hour

What You’ll Do
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
- Mow, trim, and edge lawn areas; remove debris from lawn surfaces.
- Remove and dispose of dead limbs from trees and shrubbery.
- Remove debris from ramps, sidewalks, parking lots, and service roads.
- Operate vacuum/sweeper equipment to maintain clean surfaces.
- Use snowplow attachments to remove snow when accumulation exceeds ½ inch.
- Apply salt to icy areas to maintain safe conditions.
- Assist Site Manager with pump house operations and housekeeping.
- Replace lightbulbs and inspect lighting for defects.
- Perform minor repairs on sweepers, snowplows, and other mechanical equipment.
- Assist Site Manager with fencing repairs and repainting.
- Reattach signage, inspect lighting, and remove large debris.
- Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
- Occasional after-hours support (OT at 1.5X)
- 3–5 years of facilities or building maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift 50lbs. repeatedly.
- Experience with landscaping and snow removal equipment preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Must be able to obtain MWAA Airport Access Badge prior to starting work.
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain an active and valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
- Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
